You would no doubt be aware of the current covid situation in our state, and of the restrictions that come into force from midnight tonight.
As a result all HTA clubs are instructed to cease all tennis activities until further notice – this includes all formal matches, training, coaching and social tennis. We are expecting an update from Tennis SA tomorrow and we will advise if any of the above changes.
In the meantime, please continue to remain vigilant and follow government guidelines. Ensure you practice good hygiene, maintain social distancing and monitor any symptoms that could be linked to COVID-19. If you are unwell or develop symptoms (even if mild), get tested immediately and go straight home to self-isolate.
We know this is not great news for our tennis community and it is going to be tough for us all. Hopefully if we are vigilant and diligent now, this situation will pass quickly and we can get back to playing the sport that we love.
Stay safe and support each other in these challenging times.
Jo Casey, HTA President
